Damos una calurosa bienvenida a la undécima edición de «EXPO PESCA & ACUIPERU», la principal feria internacional de pesca y acuicultura, que tendrá lugar en el Centro de Exposiciones Jockey de Lima, Perú. Este evento es el más grande de su tipo en América Latina y ha sido una reunión importante cada dos años desde 2003.

EXPO PESCA & ACUIPERU reúne a fabricantes y distribuidores que muestran sus últimos equipos, suministros y servicios para la pesca y la acuicultura. Esto incluye barcos y piezas, tecnología de captura, sistemas de cultivo y soluciones de refrigeración, procesamiento y distribución. La feria sirve como una plataforma integral para los profesionales de la industria, incluidos propietarios, directores, gerentes, supervisores, técnicos y personal especializado de las fábricas pesqueras y las operaciones de acuicultura.

Perú es un mercado abierto sin barreras ni limitaciones a las importaciones, y el cambio de divisas no está restringido. La importación de equipos está sujeta al pago de derechos de importación sobre el valor CIF (costo, seguro y flete), más un impuesto general sobre las ventas (IGV) del 18%. Sin embargo, las muestras de exposición se pueden importar temporalmente sin pagar derechos de importación ni proporcionar una garantía bancaria. Después de la feria, estas muestras pueden permanecer en Perú durante 120 días adicionales para su nacionalización o reexportación.

Junto con EXPO PESCA & ACUIPERU, también se llevará a cabo la tercera edición de SEAFOOD LIMA. Este evento se especializa en la comercialización de pescados y mariscos procesados, congelados, frescos y curados, así como de harina y aceite de pescado. Los expositores incluyen plantas de procesamiento y exportadores locales e internacionales que muestran sus ofertas exportables a visitantes, importadores, supermercados, mayoristas, restaurantes, líneas de cruceros, terminales de pesca y corredores.

Si bien Perú es el principal exportador mundial de harina de pescado, importa alrededor de un tercio de su consumo de pescado, lo que presenta una gran oportunidad de mercado para los exportadores extranjeros de atún, basa, caballa, caviar, jurel, camarones, reineta, salmón, tilapia y otras especies. En 2023, Perú importó aproximadamente 323,435,933 CIF de estas especies, principalmente de Argentina, Ecuador, Tailandia, China, Chile y los EE. UU.
