The MD82C54/B is a programmable timer developed by Renesas Electronics and supplied in a 24-pin CDIP package. It is designed to provide reliable timing and control functions across a wide range of electronic systems. Its main features include a five-pin SPI interface for convenient programming, dual 16-bit timers with capture/compare capability for accurate and flexible timing operations, as well as an integrated voltage regulator with a safe shutdown function to protect the system during low-battery conditions.
